I found that installing HP UFT 12.02 on Windows 7 rather than a server OS build issue. I also think intenret connectivity is needed as well but not 100% sure because I tried to install on a win 2008r2 and win 2012 with internet acces and trail license ddid not work . Only when I installed win 7 it worked and validated by installing on two different win 7 machines and worked as designed. I hope that helps

I am also facing the same problem of license key for UFT 12.02. But iam unable to get in touch with any of the HP engineers. Here, Could you please help  me in getting the license key.
