my hp 50g is slow to turn on. can take 5 min to turn on, does anyone have answers?

Hi,
This is indeed strange behaviour.
Things to try:
If there is an SD card in, try without the SD card. If it starts up faster without the SD card, then you should consider using a PC to re-format the SD card to FAT (or FAT-16) and not FAT-32 file system (after backing up your data of course
). Note, only SD cards up to 2GB should be used and must not be SDHC cards.
Try a new backup battery ( CR-2032)
Try new main batteries (4 x AAA)
Note: do not remove the main batteries and the backup battery at the same time, this will cause data lost.
You can try a reboot:
ON-F3 together for a soft reboot.
ON-F1-F6 together for a complete re-boot, select "YES" to KEEP your data.
(it is advisable to back up your data in any case)
