hp MediaSmart Not Playing BLURAY (again)

01/07/2012...I'm posting this all over the boards till i get the right patch..... HP media Smart wont play bluray.. It was working after updates from last year when i bought my

, Now i bought some new blurays (Thor, Transformers dark of the moon) put in the bluray player, it said it needed to update to play it .It took me to a website(cyberlink) I download The New Mediasmart((HP-CNB.v4215_2007_Medi_HTS091023-02_Normal)))(it made me uninstall the old one) Now it doesnt play ANY Blurays. I then
downloaded the sp50778,sp41099,sp43710,sp44615, sp443553 and sp26468.. because i read it was suppost to fix the
problem ... IT DID NOT WORK... SO NOW WHAT... I'm not finding any Help from HP... or Cyberlink who co wrote this software

I had a similar problem.  The player worked on normal disc, but not on bluray.  I was getting a screen that kept asking if I would like to upgrade the player  When I clicked yes, the screen went blank, MediaSmart would start doing its arc thing and the same question would come up again, and Again, and AGAIN.  i contacted HP and was told that in all likely hood my registry was corrupted and for the monomial fee of $90 (a one time fix) or for $15/mo. for a year they thought they could fix it.   I was told that as new BluRays contain new security measures, and this could be an ongoing problem.  I had the same problem on my LG BluRay player and they sent me a cd containing the needed upgrade at no cost.  Guess which brand I will be purchasing from now on.
