Setting up a brand new t5570e thin client for a client, and am desperate for help on the following:
1. How do I make this thing boot directly into an RDP session??
2. Why is the device resetting to factory each time I reboot, and how do I make it stop?
The environment has a single 2008 R2 Std server.
Yes; I would just create an rdp connection and save it in the default user's startup folder, and I'd be done. But of course, the standard user isn't allowed to get to their startup folder. So I log in as admin, save the connection settings in the "all users" startup folder, log in as the default user...nope; access denied to the all user's startup folder. ??? Create a new local admin user, put connection in startup, it works...until I reboot the thin client. At reboot, all my changes are lost and we're back to factory settings.
Very, very dumb. Help??

After you make changes you need to click on the EWF (Electronic Write Filter) and commit changes...it's that padlock icon in the lower right corner. First it must be enabled (right click it and select Enable EWF); after you make changes select "Commit changes" and the system will reboot. After that, all changes will be saved.
