hp wireless keyboard

I have a wireless keyboard by hp Model# 5187-7584 that I have been trying to connect to hp pavillion d4000y.

OS Windows XP Media Center Edition. The connector is Model# 5187-8615 and the mouse Model# 5187urf+.

The mouse connects and works fine but the keyboard won't connect. 

Any suggestions or solutions?

Hello Chipps: I just found your post? Frist thing first plug the usb blue tooth device in computer. Make sure you have properly installed batteries correctly both mouse and keybroard. Turn on computer and open up Devices and printers. When widow opens you should see these items listed check mark them. Make sure also that mouse and key-board are combatable to xp windows. You also need to keep keyboard and mouse in range of tower almost next to bluetooth.
