sir my laptop does not show the dvd drive.....& also it does not read any drive

Hi,

 

Click the Start Menu, open the Control Panel, open Device Manager and open up DVD/CD-ROM Drives.  Is the optical drive listed here?  If it is, right click the drive and select Properties.  Is there an error code shown in the Device status box?  If there is, post back with details of this.

 

Can you also post back with the following.

 

1.  The full Model No. and Product No. of the notebook ( from the service tag underneath your notebook ) - see Here for a further explanation.

 

2.  The full version of the operating system you are using ( ie Windows 7 32bit ).
