Hi

 

You have a couple of options as I see it please find the steps and the weblink given below might help you to fix the issue.

 

1) Disconnect the Battery & Adapter from the unit press and hold the power button on th eunit for 30 second then power on the unit then turn on the light for the Touchpad and have it checked.

 

2) Click "Start," type Device Manager in the search bar and press "Enter." Click the arrow next to "Mice and other pointing devices." Right-click on the touchpad listing and click "Uninstall." Also click Start>Control Panel>Programs and Features>Uninstall a Program>Select Synaptics and click uninstall.  

Restart the computer and it should automatically reinstall the drivers.

 

3) Go to HP website and update the Bios and driver and have it checked.
