I have had my new Hp touchpad since Christmas. A couple of days ago it started acting strange. I assume it has updated its software automatically, and changed some of its settings. It is running very slow, and some of my email popups it no longer will open. All help appreciated

Use WebOSDoctor and reload WebOS to fix the issue.
Be sure and clear the Davikcache when you do it. Your TouchPad will not update its software automatically. You have to initiate and allow that yourself. Frankly I would be seriously upset if my PC or, notebook or TouchPad did that on its own.
You can find great information and support at the Palm/WebOS support community.
