Annoying HP blue square on Desktop

How do I permanently delete an HP Update blue square (cut off mid-sentence) that keeps appearing & sometimes disappearing from my desktop?  I've right-clicked it NOTHING...I can move it around, but not off my screen. It's so frustrating.


The light blue square says:   HP Update          An update is available. Would you like to download and install this update now?

But  it doesn't allow me to click it with any results.   Any suggestions?
