BLINKING BATTERY INDICATOR

I HAVE PRESARIO CQ40-340TU..WHILE I'M CHARGING MY LAPTOP THE BATTERY INDICATOR ALWAYS BLINK (not charging) and THERE ARE TIMES ITS NOT BLINKING and its chaging.you think its battery problem?

Another possibility, especially with Windows Vista & 7, and you have replaced your battery.  Then, uninstall the battery from the unit and power on with just the AC adapter.  In Windows, uninstall the 'Battery' items for the 'Microsoft ACPI - Compliant Control Method Battery', "Microsoft AC Adapter', and under 'System devices' uninstall 'ACPI Fixed Feature Button'.  Windows 7 prompted to reboot after this.  Reboot the system twice .... the second time reinstalls the drivers....

 

Lastly, without removing the AC adapter.  Power off Windows and turn over the laptop and install the battery again.

 

It worked for me and I was having a similar issue.
