I have an Envy 17 3D (Product Number: LV045UA#ABA). Recently, soon after bootup, I get an error, to the effect that there is a BTTray Error such that it is unable to start bluetooth stack service.
I am using a Bluetooth Logitech mouse and the mouse continues to work. Befire I started getting the error, periodically the mouse would be suddenly disconnected and I would have to initiate a discovery of the mouse with the Bluetooth discovery mechanism.
Usually after rediscovering the mouse, I would have not further episodes for many days with a new bootup evey day. The error is only a recent development but the disconnect episodes have been going on for quite a long time.
I am not even sure that the two are related and I observe no consequences of the BTTray issue. Nevertheless I would like to resolve this BTTray error issue before something of consequence does occur.
Regards,
L.M. Cohen

I discovered this solution by myself, a couple of days ago, in the past. Nevertheless since you also suggested the same solution, today, I will Kudo you and mark the issue as solved.

I have uninstalled the bluetooth enumerator in the device manager, which removes all of the bluetooth devices. Then I reinstalled a newly downloaded driver from HP. This did not solve my problem. Any other suggestions?

Hello Stage3,
If the steps above did not work you can go to start and type MSCONFIG.
Go to the boot and startup tabs and uncheck the Bluetooth services.
This should keep you from getting the Bluetooth stacker service error.
Let me know if this helps.
