Blinking power lights with adapter connected but not just battery, which part is bad? Powers up ok.

My power indicator light has been blinking steady for several days now. I tried unplugging AC adapter & blinking stopped. Next I tried just AC adapter without battery connected, blinking stopped but now started again. Powers up fine either way, so far. When I check the voltage it is fine. Outlet is fine, everything plugged in fine, etc. How do I find out what part is bad???

HOW WILL I KNOW WHEN TO REPLACE THE BATTERY ON ME LAPTOP QV 8210US?
