Cannot Install HP Deskjet 3050 onto my HP Pavilion Notebook PC [ Edited ]

Dear Support Staff,

I purchased an HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook PC for my wife about 6 months ago. Soon after it was purchased, my wife wanted me to "migrate" the information from an older Laptop to her new one utilizing the LapLink Software and the USB Cable they provide. After the migration was complete, however, and since that time, we have not been able to install our (wireless) HP Deskjet 3050 (All in One) Printer on the aforementioned computer. Every time we attempt to install the software, and we have completed doing so, the Printer Icon under "Printers" in the Control Panel has an "exclamation point" over it. No matter what I have tried doing, the system will not allow me to install the printer; during the process of doing so, the install software configuration page informs me that the software is already installed; but, yet, the printer (which is connected to our Home Network and functions properly with my desktop), will not respond to my wife's laptop (the HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook PC).
