HP Pavilion dv6 laptop with windows 7.  I can only get icons on screen and have to click on each one to view my pictures in libraries, my pictures.   Can someone help please to be able to view all my pictures as thumbnails on screen?

Hi,

Here's one option to check.

Open windows Control Panel, open Folder Options and click the View tab.  If there is a tick in the box next to 'Always show icons, never thumbnails', click the box to remove it and then click Apply and Ok to save the change.

Regards,

Hello jimboy29

If you are trying to resolve the same issue and you are running Windows 8 give the steps below a try:

Step 1. Open up the folder with the pictures and click on the View tab
Step 2. Next click on Options to the far right
Step 3. Then Click on Change folder and search options
Step 4. This opens up an options menu
Step 5. Navigate to the view tab
Step 6. Uncheck the box that says Always show icons, never thumbnails
Step 7. Check the box that says Display file icon on thumbnails

This should do the same thing in Windows 8. Thank you for posting in the HP Forums. Have a great day!
