Hello Everyone,
Hope your having a good weekend.
I have tried to contact HP about this problem and they never got back to me.
The touch pad and the right and left clicker on my laptop are beginning to get a little worn, I have had the laptop two years now and its showing.
Where can I get spare parts for a Compaq C700 C791NR, and would I need to get them installed by a 3rd party?

Hi,
Post your part number (p/n) . You'll find it at the bottom of the laptop on a sticker, which looks like this.

I'm so sorry, but above sentence is telling me that this task is not for you. If you want to do it please go to HP or any other laptop service. Correct part number is 466649-001. This is Top cover assembly - With mouse touchpad and cable attached.
Installation procedure you may find in service documentation here (page 62), but I really recommend to do it in service.

Uninstall your current driver for wireless.
Go to:
Control Panel -> Device Manager
Click with right button of your mouse on each yellow sign with exclamation mark (
) and choose properties. Then go to ' Details ' tab and paste here Hardware Ids . This way we will know what it is.
Below You've got example how to do it:

There is nothing on the device manager with a yellow marker.
The wireless works, its just the light on the button im having problems with, should be blue but its red.

So there shouldn't be any problems with color of wireless button unless it's hardware or driver problem.
Could you do this what I ask you about before in my third reply?
This may sound ridiculous, but it may help me to solve your problem.
