This links are of no use. Since this is a rather old post I doubt I'll get a response but I'll try anyway. I have been searching and searching for an email address to contact tech support. All the links do is forward to a site that asks for my serial# & product # to veriy warranty. I don't need my warranty verified. All I need to do is ask a question and I don't have any more time to call and end up talking with someone I can't understand due to their accents. Why does a company such as HP not make it simple to contact via email? I used to recommend HP and after this ordeal, I've decided I'll probably just trash this laptop and search out a supplier that has email support. This is obsurd. Can anyone provide an EMAIL address to tech support and not a phone number????? I'm sure they want to charge for me for tech support as I know I am out of warranty but this is an issue only HP can fix and do to that, they need to fix it free of charge. I'm getting that 'invalid serial#' message and I have not taken this in for service and have no idea why all of a sudden it started doing this. Only thing I can figure out, it's like the check engine light on a car and HP is making it so people have to pay them to fix it when their laptops are no longer in warranty. I don't understand why they can't provide the written steps or at least an email as they can email the numbers to key in. I can follow written instructions and don't need to be subjected to a long winded conversation with someone I can't understand!
