Custom made laptop product No.

I have a custom made g6 laptop for which the screen is cracked. I am trying to find out if it is still under warranty, but when i enter the prodeuct number and serial number into the warranty checker, it doesnt show up. Any help? and how can i get my screen fixed? thanks

If you have a customized G6 (one configured from the website) then you may have a 2nd, hidden product number for the unit...what we call a "phantom" product number.  Go into your BIOS setup by pressing F10 at the HP logo screen at startup and look under the Main tab.  See if the product number in the BIOS is different than the one you have.  If so, then put THAT product number in the warranty checker and see if that helps :smileyhappy:
