DISK DRIVE PROBLEM

i just installed WIN 7 32-bit on my HP Pavilion dv6 3127dx

and after installation including my c: drive there is another drive appeared as" SYSTEM(D:smileyhappy:" this is the name of the drive

and it takes 198MB out of which 165MB is full and when i open this drive it was shown blank

my previous window was WIN 7 64-bit

Hi,

 

There is a good guide on the link below that explains how you can delete the D partition and then extend the C partition in to the unallocated space.

EDIT:  My mistake, I read Gb instead of Mb, Kamat_hp is correct - this should be left alone.

The 200MB active partition on you hard drive is to store the boot files and the Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE) for repairing your computer if necessary. its created by windows 7

the partition named "system reserved" is created by Windows 7, that's important, I have tested to delete it, after that I can't boot my OS, so you could not delete it.
