Seen.  I never doubted they were out there .... I just didn't want to wait any longer so have gone for the US version.   Once me and my laptop and US keyboard are re-united I'm not planning on us spending any more time apart: I'm 60 in May and retiring!   (I'm even thinking of forking out for another 4gb of ddr2 pc2 677mhz memory ... but wherever I look it's around the £250 mark ... whereas I want to pay about £80 or so!!)

I just put the pic on to show others that the UK version does exist and is out there on the DV3610ea from HP direct.....

Mine is a DV3500ea...4gb ram max........

Are you  going upto 4 or adding 4?....

Mine's a dv35073ea with 4gb as standard and one spare memory slot.  It has 64bit vista as well which can use more than 4gb ... as its there I might try and use it!!

Ok Philco....Im just going on the tech spec from the HP site where the DV3507ea has 3gb as standard....(1 x 1024 MB + 1 x 2048 MB)...and supports a 4gb max...

Seems like there is conflicting info kicking around.  Here's ane extract  from the Maintenance Manual and what I was basing my comment regarding extra memory. Hmm.  The ticks were under two columns .... dv3000 and dv3500.  The tick by the comment 'Supports 8gb of system ram' is under the dv3500 column.

Supports up to 4 GB of system RAM √

Supports up to 8 GB of system RAM √

Support for DDRII dual-channel 667- and 800-MHz √

Support for:

Ladies and Gentlemen...I give you the dv6000 series...with backlit keyboard:

Running of of 5V DC and all installed without ruining my laptops warranty.

Figure it out by myself since noone out there bothered testing their own dv3500s for the voltages.
