DV6810 won't boot

After  45 days out of warranty, motherboard is toast and Hp says " too bad". I will wait to see if they get enough complaints and failures with this model to fix what seems to be an ongoing motherboard problem. Meanwhile, since I am very unsatisfied with hp support, I will purchase another brand. HP has lost my business.:robotmad: Any other DV6810us support issues out there.

Ditto!! I am 163 days past warranty and, yep you guessed it, the motherboard has quit.  HP told me that I could give them $398 to fix it and have a 90 day new warranty.  The extended service plan is only good for laptops manufactured before 07. Other than that there is nothing they can do.  This will be my last HP.
