DV5-1160 eSATA port

Does the eSATA/USB port on an HP Pavilion  dv5-1160us provide power, as in eSATAp, to power small external HDD enclosures?

Currently in market, I am not aware of external HDD enclosures that support eSATAp. They all use external power supply....

I have found one enclosure so far that does do power over eSATA:

I am hoping to use this without any funky eSATA + USB (or USB/Y or DC) cabling, for a single-cable solution to fast external storage.

 

So my question remains, does the dv5-1160us provide power through it's combo USB / eSATA port (I imagine so since USB always provides power...)

Your Notebook is equipped with eSATAp...So if you use eSATAp cable and Enclosre than it will work...
