On section 4, page 83 there is a removal and replacement procedure for a bluetooth module.

So do I have a bluetooth module? Or do I need to buy one?
If I do need to buy one, where do I get it?

Is this what I need? If so is this compatible with my computer?

I would really appreciate a simple answer,
Are these replacement parts compatible with my computer?

Look on page 83 of your maintenance and service guide for the part number and how to install the module, quite a bit has to come apart to install it.

You need to buy the cable and the module.
Consider using an external USB Bluetooth dongle.
Those should be the correct part numbers, you can Google the part numbers or order them directly from HP. You may even find them on e-bay if you enter you model number. Try HP dv6 bluetooth.

According to your specs, your model never came with one.

Hi,
If your notebook is still under warranty and you will install on your own internal bluetooth module then you will loose it.
In this case much more better solution will be buying micro Bluetooth dongle.
With that kind of device you don't need to even remember then it's plugged.
Few propositions on Newegg: here, here, here, here and here.
