How do I transfer my files from my old HP pavilion g4-1016dx w/a "busted" screen to my new HP 2000-299WM notebook pc?

Both have Windows 7 64-bit (whatever that means).

Remove the hard drive from the busted notebook and connect it to the new notebook using a hard drive to usb adapter similar to this one

well if yours was doing like mine you wouldnt have to worry it would do it for you  seriously but i agree with the other reply just had to throw that in there IM messing around hoping for a reply also good luck  with your hard drive
