Envy 14 touchpad

I put a book on the keyboard and touchpad for a while, and the touchpad was turn off while the laptop had been shut down. Now, I can't turn the touchpad on by double tapping the indicator. And my laptop is envy 14, bought in August, 2010. Need help!

Re: Envy 14 touchpad

On some notebooks, the ClickPad can be turned off by double-tapping the on/off hotspot located in the upper lefthand corner of the ClickPad. If the notebook does not have such an on/off hotspot, you can still disable the ClickPad in its settings control panel.
NOTE: You will need to use an external mouse or some other pointing device to control the cursor when the ClickPad is disabled.
To disable the ClickPad:
  1. Click Start , enter mouse in the search field, and then select the Mouse control panel program from the search results.
  2. On the Device Settings tab of the Mouse Properties panel, click the Disable button to turn off the ClickPad.
The ClickPad can be re-enabled when needed.

Re: Envy 14 touchpad

Thx! I mean I want to ENABLE the clickpad, not to disable.

Re: Envy 14 touchpad

It doesn't work, and the ENABLE button is not clickable.
