Error 90B: cooling fan not working, detected on start-up. HP Pavilion g7-1310us running Win7. ???

I need to know whether I can fix this myself or must I return the machine to HP.  It is only a few months old, and I purchased it locally.

what do i need to do for the cooling fan to work for  intel Atom inside window7 starter. i received Error 98B.it is only a few months ol and i purchased it locally.

Hello donnazebedee,

 

I see that you are having problems with the cooling fan on your HP computer. I have a couple of suggestions that may help with your issue.

 

Here is a link that explains the error and some troubleshooting steps that may be able to help. Follow the steps in the link and let me know what happens.
