HP Pavilion dv4-1125nr running windows vista home premium 64 bit. I have noticed lately that after my laptop has gone into the sleep mode it will lock up. The only way that I can recover from it is to power it down. Any suggestions or tips would be appreciated. I.E.. Should I eliminate the sleep mode and if so, how do I do it?

Its probably a program running when it goes to sleep that does not play nice when it resumes from sleep, figuring out which one is the trick.
Start by closing any open programs before it goes to sleep, see if that cures it.
If it is not one of your open programs you use causing it, then it may be something that is loading at startup, you can use msconfig to remove items from startup one at a time, then reboot the PC, this would be a process of elimination and many restarts and sleep cycles to find the problem program.
