When I upgraded to Windows 7, the HP battery check could not be used, so I went to HP website to download the XP version (I think). It worked somewhat ok, but then, I wanted to uninstall because it was useless. I couldn't find the uninstall button so I shift+delete the files. Then I found HP Battery Check under uninstall programs. But then I could not get rid of it. So I tried REINSTALLING, but still it does not work.
So, I thought I'd get help from HP Support Assistant, turns out when I got to the last page, there wasn't any assistance options for me to contact HP. What can I do??? Everything is not working!!!

Pull down the latest version of HP Support Assistant:
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp46001-46500/sp46115
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp46001-46500/sp46115
Reboot the notebook and try HP Support Assistant again.
Battery check is built into HP Support Assistant; Click on Troubleshoot->Power, Thermal, and Mechanical.
There should be a button under the Power tab for battery check.

Download version 5.0 of the support assistant. It installs just fine on Windows 7 without having to do anything.

Hi everyone!
I have problem with HP battery check - it close ("HPBC has stopped working") everytime when I want to choose "Advanced mode" in settings. I have newest version of app and I tried all other possibilities - compatibility mode, run as admin, run through HP assistance, reinstall.
I have windows 7 64bit. As I remember, it worked fine on 32bit.
Does anybody know how to solve this problem? I would like to see advanced details of my application...
Thanks in advance!
