HP DV6-6190se Coolsense Support?

Hi, I just bought HP DV6-6190se and I'm having problem with the coolsense tech. After a clean install of my OS (64bit Ultimate) I installed all of the drivers and softwares provided by HP. After that I've tried running it but I can't find it. I just checked if my laptop supports it and it says it does. I browsed some of the posts here but, well it seems that HP guys were not able to provide an answer or solution for this one.

I've even trried installing a standalone version of coolsense software as adviced by one of the HP guys (Vidya) still no luck. I'm getting this error:

 

* I think it's because my laptop only support coolsense 1.0 .... BUT STILL, WHY CAN'T I FIND IT IN HP SUPPORT ASSISTANT as decribed above.

I have this same install problom on a HP Spectre which should support version 2.1 of Coolsense.

I have tried re-installing the coolsense package and get the same install error as you.

I have aslo treid re-installing the HP Support assistant and that was worse so I have now recovered to a point where the support assistant works but I still cannot get coolsense to launch.

I tried HP support but they coouldn't fix the issue either.

Oh well! up till now ... didn't get any answer from HP Support ... well ... so much for the "Support". I bet they don't even know how to fix this ... what's worst is ... I'm not the only one having this problem ... a lot of people are...I just don't get it why don't the HP "Support" do something ... to fix this

I had exactly same error message on a fresh win7 installation when I tried to install coolsense.

The suppot suggested 'put windows back from recovery utility' I hope they dont pay to those people who give these nonsense advices...

It turns out that hp thermal manager is a different package which should be installed before coolsense (and after coolsense installation I could remove it and coolsense still seems to function). Let us know if this works?
