HP HSTNN-IX01 EN488AA Docking Station

Hi there

I have a nc6400 business laptop that came with the above docking station.  I also have a nc6910p laptop.  Question is can I use the same dock with the 6910p.  Both units have adapters with different output/inputs?

Hi there, I have the same nc6400 with the en488aa docking station. When I mount the laptop to the docking station, I get the blue led turned on around the eject button on the docking station but nothing else works. I can turn the computer off and on by pushing the power button on the docking station, but again nothing else is working. Not the USB ports, serial ports, dvi port etc. Is there a driver or is there software I'm missing? My OS is win xp pro. I bought the computer with an illegitimate version of win7 already on it and decided to go back to xp pro. Please help. I bought the laptop/docking station Combo specifically for the serial port use.
