Both the HP service centre and the dealer cannot supply 2Gb RAM that works.  The service centre tried and the notebook hung - they ordered a new motherboard and got the same response.  Crucial Memory's online memory checker responds "not available" and others do not even recognise the model number 210-1121ej (even though HP Support Assistant confirms it is correct).

 

Nice design, pretty blue colour but don't try to run more than Windows 7 and Internet Explorer/Firefox.  Microsoft Word 2010 is asking too much for 1Gb standard RAM - just goes to sleep.

Your spec says "Supports up to 2 GB DDR3 memory", here

Have tried updating the BIOS?, here

All working beautifully - can run Firefox, MS Office 2010 Word & Outlook together with Skype and smooth running video camera.

 

Finally found HP Support Assistant who knew correct details - HP part # 613857-351 2Gb RAM

 

Manufacturer part numbers:

 

1)   HMT325S6BFR8C-H9N0
2)   MT8JSF25664HZ-1G4D1
3)   I actually bought  Micron compatible CT25664BC1339
