Why is my daughter's brand new hp mini 210-2355dx (windows 7) saying "no battery is detected"? we've given it ample time to charge. we've reseated the battery many times to no avail. the battery hasn't worked since she opened it christmas day! the warranty is up until 7/2012. what do i do?
i can't find any solution online so this is my last resort. please help me! thanks!

Try running the battery check in HP Support Assistant or you can download the latest versions from the link below:
The result of the Battery check will tell you what is causing the problem. If the result fails or gives a replace or no battery message then immediately call HP technical support to get a replacement battery.
Sometimes there could be problems with the battery connectors because of which it may not be detected.Once replaced it should be fine.
