HP Pavilion 14-N012AX AC Adapter Broken

Hi,

I would just like to ask if I can still use my AC adapter/charger for my recently bought HP Pavilion because unfortunately, the head of the wire (the one that is being inserted in the notebook) was bitten by my puppy. The outer layer was removed but the inside is still intact. Upon checking, the charger is still working, but my worries is that if it is still safe to use it.

Your response is highly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi @Rm23

I would like to take a moment and thank you for using the forum, it is a great place to find answers. For you to have the best experience in the HP forum, I would like to direct your attention to the HP Forums Guide First Time Here? Learn How to Post and More.

Thank you for your query.  I understand that your puppy bit the head of the adapter for your notebook.  It still functions but you would like to know if it is safe to use.

I would recommend replacing it, as it is better to be safe then sorry.   Here is a link to the  HP Pavilion 14 Notebook PC HP Pavilion TouchSmart 14 Notebook PC Maintenance and Service Guide to assist you.

Please note chapter 3, page 26, for a list of recommended adapters and power cords.

If you have the HP care pack and have  accidental damage coverage, I would contact HP support.  They would also be able to assist you with ordering a replacement, if you are having any difficulties.
