HP Pavilion dv6700 series LapTop's Integrated Web Cam AND Audio Output Device Disappeared!

A little over 1 year after buying my hp laptop the integrated web cam and audio output device disappeared completely. Since I did not purchased the extended warranty on this piece of junk, I received no help from HP Support. I will never buy another HP Product for this reason and tell everyone else I can to avoid their laptops. I would not want anyone else to go through the headache I am, ugh!!!!!!!!!!! Customer satisfaction and retention is not a priority with this company.

Oh yeah, I've since taken out my battery for fear of fire due to it severely overheating. No battery replacement provided since "it's not one of the batteries listed on the recall list".  I tell you, it cost me $600 to learn to stay away from HP Products. I've since seen online that soooo many people are having similar and other issues with their lap tops and other products as well but wonder how are they able to stay in business?! Weird!

Never again!

OK Moderator.....you say tha t " This is a peer-to-peer community for customers to connect and share solutions regarding their HP products.?"  Well, as a customer of an hp product I say that the best solution is never to buy an HP product again in the future but I'll ask "my peers" for help with my hp probelm. Thank you

Hey Peers, any ideas on how I can solve the problem of getting my integrated web cam and audio output devices back, that have disappeared and are not even listed in my device manager ? I welcome all fixes except those which cost me more $$$ than I've already spent. Thanks!

I have the same problem and haven't had any luck fixing it. When you got to the link the previous person posted, the link inside that document don't take you anywhere.
