HP Simplepass - Can I still log on by typing?

If I set up my HP Simplepass can I still log in traditionally by typing in my password? My biggest fear is setting up my Simplepass reader and then getting locked out of my brand new laptop... can I still log in 'traditionally' by typing in my password even after the fingerprint reader is set up? or does it override that ability?

well basically you'll be given options, whether you want to type your password or just swipe a finger...

 

you just either have to swipe or press on your user icon and type yor password...

~I MAYBE working for HP Consumer Notebook Support but any opinion stated are not at anyways connected to those of HP.~
