HP Support Assistant just asked me to kick off a routine maintenance, which is fine.
Then I noticed it was trying to defrag a solid state drive, so i cancelled it.
Is the Support Assistant routine smart enough to know not to defrag a solid state drive?

Evidently not, you should go into the HPSA settings and disable defrag.

No.
SSD devices, unlike traditional HDDs, see no performance benefit from traditional HDD defragmentation tools.
Disable any automatic or scheduled defragmentation utilities for your Intel SSD. Using these tools simply adds unnecessary wear to the SSD.

Where do I disable defrag in HPSA? There is nothing under Tune-up -> Settings -> Click here to display tune-up tasks.
Also, why isn't this disabled by default on PCs shipped with SSDs? I mean, how incompetent can a computer maker be to configure its PCs by default to increase wear and tear on its components? Unbelievable.
