I wanted to update the BIOS on a G50-109nr, FS046ua#ABA. It has an 1.90 GHz AMD Athlon X2 QL-60 Dual-Core Processor but the BIOS update on the HP Drivers and Update page for a G50-109nr says it is for INTEL processors.
Can someone direct me to the correct BIOS update?
THX

Hi,
Latest Bios update you may download from here.
Warning!
Bios update is always very risky. Your notebook may not boot after this step, so be careful and have full patience. You will perform this update at your own risk. I do not take responsibility for any problems.
How to update Bios?
First check which Bios version you've got now. This information may be very helpful if ther will be any problem.
Connect the notebook to the AC power supply.
Disconnect from the internet. Exit from all programs that you are running. Disable anti-virus and firewall.
Execute the Bios update exe file. It may take some time. Allow the notebook to restart after applying the updated BIOS.
While this update is running do not:
- switch off your laptop,
- disconnect AC power supply,
- try to run any software or do anything on it .

Did you even read my question!!!!!!!!!!!
"It has an 1.90 GHz AMD Athlon X2 QL-60 Dual-Core Processor but the BIOS update on the HP Drivers and Update page for a G50-109nr says it is for INTEL processors."
The link that is for the HPG50-109nr is for INTEL processors, This model has an AMD processor!
Please point me to a BIOS update for an AMD processor motherboard
Thank you

Yes I did. Please write your notebook product number (p/n) and country of purchase.
Resource:
How to Locate the Notebook product number (p/n)
Download and run CPU-Z (free software). Add to next reply screenshot which will confirm information about processor which is installed in your notebook. All this things will help me to do something about your problem.
