How can I copy cassette tapes to my computer to create a CD?

[ Edited ]

I have a cassette tape player, but it does not copy onto a CD.  Can I use my laptop computer to do it?  I have connected the headphone out on my tape player and the other end of the cable is a stereo pin.  I was told to put this into the microphone of my laptop.  Now what do I do?

Re: Duplicatiang cassette tapes to CD's. How do you do that?

Hi Connie425,

It's a bit more involved than that, but not much. There's a few different ways to do it.  You'll need to get a different cable.

Thank you.  It was exactly what I needed to learn.  I went online and downloaded Audacity so I can tweek it a bit.  Thanks again.
