I have a HP 2000 Notebook, SN 5CB20735FN, product # AA7A75UA#ABA using Win 7 Home Premium. I tried to update Adobe Reader, and the installation stopped with Error code 1357, invalid drive G:\. I used regedit to search for all references to G:\. I found four entries and deleted them. I re-ran the installation again, and received the same error code. I rechecked my registry for other references to G:\, but I found none. I tried again to install Adobe Reader 10, and it aborted again with the same error. I also used Computer Management, but I did not find G:\.
What do you suggest?

I found this Adobe support article, it has a link to a Microsoft Fixit tool you might try.

I prefer Foxit reader Myself, Adobe reader is so bloated and is an attack vector for malware and viruses.
