Traverse1,

I understand you want a shortcut to Facebook on your desktop, is that correct? I will assist you with that inquiry.

If you look towards the top of this thread, DavidPK provided the answer for your question on 4/2/2013. Those instructions should allow you to create that Facebook shortcut that you want.

If I have been helpful or if you would like to say thank you for me trying to help, click the white star under my name to give me Kudos. I really appreciate it.

Please respond when you get a chance.

Thanks

Clicking the White Kudos star on the left is a way to say Thanks!

Clicking the 'Accept as Solution' button is a way to let others know which steps helped solve the problem!

Hi,

There are a couple of methods detailed below.

1.  Browse to the page you want to create a shortcut to.

Highlight the entire entry in your browsers address bar, then right click and select Copy.

Go to your Desktop, right click an empty area, move the cusor over 'New' and then select 'Shortcut'.

Right click in the box, select Paste and click Next.

In the next box, you can change the name for this shortcut if you wish, then click Finish to create the Shortcut.

2.  Open the desktop version of Internet Explorer ( if using Windows 8 ), browse to the site you want to create a shortcut for, then just drag and drop the small icon to the left of the web address on to the Desktop.

Regards,

DP-K
