I am getting nothing but a black screen when I power up my HP Laptop. I think it is because of static electricity.

1. With it turned off disconnect AC adapter and Remove the Battery, hold the power button down for a full 30 seconds.

 

2. Connect AC adapter only and see if windows will load.
