The latest Service Pack for Windows 7 is SP1 - there is no SP2 or SP3 available.

Hi: In order for me to be able to install the anti virus offered by my internet company I have to upgrade to Service Pack2.

Is there any solutions to that?

Hi,

Are you sure they are referring to Windows 7?

Please see the list below for the service pack level available for the Three main versions of Windows.

Windows 7          Service Pack 1

Windows Vista   Service Pack 2

Windows XP       Service Pack 3

There is definitely no sp2 for Windows 7 and any download you may see for it will be fake.

Yes I just got this computer last month and it came with a windows home premium.

That's why my internet company is saying that the only way I can install the antivirus on this computer is to upgrade to sp2 or 3 first.

It's a little confusing but I'm hope I can find a way to install that antivirus on it.

Hi,

I'm not sure why your Internet Company is saying you need to upgrade Windows 7 to sp2 or sp3 as neither of these service packs exist.  The only service pack for Windows 7 is sp1.

As an alternative to whatever your Internet company is offering, if you want a good Security solution for your notebook, you could download and install the free Microsoft Security Essentials.
