I'm a first-time HP customer and I've had my laptop for just over 2 months now. It was working fine until 3 or so weeks ago when the keyboard started acting up.
The following keys no longer work:
- "Esc"
- " ~ "
- "Tab"
- "Caps Lock"
- " F1"
- "1"
- "Q"
- "A"
- "Z"
As you might have noticed, they're all on the left side of the keyboard. I can only access these keys now when I open the on-screen keyboard. It gets very difficult/irritating when you're trying to type something long.
At first, they would work on and off:
- I used to have to press the key I wanted to use really fast for a couple seconds and it'd "wake" back up.
- Then when that failed, I had to do the same thing only alternate with a working key really fast for a couple seconds before it'd "wake" back up.
- Now they've gone kaput completely.
I'm hoping there's a solution for this that I can do on my own because I need this computer to use for college!!
Someone please help me!
