Keyboard does not work at all. But mouse does. [ Edited ]

Out of no where my keyboard completely stopped working. My touch pad mouse, and the lazor one I use work fine, but none of my keys work. I've tried pushing them all. I tried a system restore and troubleshooting, but nothing is working. The on-screen keyboard also works, but none of my actual keyboard keys, not even the number pad. I have a hp Compaq Presario CQ61-411WM. Please Help!!!

Try this:  locate a little button which is on the bottom edge of the keyboard.  It should be midway between the left- right-edges of the touchpad.  When it is lighted RED, the touchpad is OFF.  On the other hand, if it is lighted, then you probably need to access your touchpad sensitivity settings.

hi i ve got the same problem..my keyboard just stopped working... external keyboard works..mouse & touchpad too

i tried the hard reset but no dice..

can elaborate about the touchpad sensitivity settings..like what exactly do we have to do..?
