MS Word no longer starts up on my HP G62x, how do I get it running again?

I have a HP G62x with an intel i3 running MS Windows 7 which has worked fine for over a year; however today when I tried to start up MS Word the little spinning circle icon came up on my screen for a few seconds then stopped/disappeared with-out the program starting.  I also tried just clicking on one of my old MS Word documents which I had saved a few weeks ago, but I got the same results (basically nothing).  Has anybody else had this problem? How do I fix it?

Go to Control Panel (icon view) > Programs and Features

once the list of programs populates the window, scroll down to find your version of Microsoft Office in the list and highlight it, then click "Change" at the top.

When that window opens select the "repair" radio button and hit Continue.

Thanks for the help, but that did NOT work! 

I followed your instruction, when the list of programs populated the window, I scrolled down to find:

Microsoft Office 2010 

Microsoft Office Click-to-Run 2010

Microsoft Office Starter 2010 - English

in the list and I highlight each one, one by one (and only one at a time) and

ONLY "Microsoft Office Starter 2010 - English" gave me the option to click "Change" at the top. 

 - So I did click on "Change", but then I got an ERROR pop-up window which said: "Click-to-Run Configuration  failure." 

Now what can I do???

Office Starter is giving everyone headaches with no solutions that I can find, sorry.
