Mini 311 questions

I have an HP Mini 311-1037NR with Verizon embedded broadband. This has been a problematic device from the start and I have received little actual help from HP, either because of technician unfamiliarity or Health Check failure. I realize the forums are busy places but if I could ask 3 questions, maybe I'd feel a bit better about this device. 1) I have the same cursor issue discussed in the forums (albeit with different models). My cursor jumps around the screen--often into the middle of previously typed sentences. I am not touching the touch pad with my palm. Sometimes, the cursor will freeze and only CTL-ALT-DEL will unfreeze it. I have re-downloaded the ALPS driver but nothing helps. 2) In my Vault are listed many internet site passwords (as bullets, not letters/numbers). How can I see the actual words? 3) This device crashes aprrox. 3-4 times a week and the blue screen always says USB port (which controls the touch pad!) The Health Check can't find this because often it can't connect to the HP servers so all other parts of the check don't occur (it lists this Check as a "Pass"), or it finds no problems. My calls to HP 24/7 service have linked me to technicians who have not known how I even turn on the device and suggest using Roxio (which is not on this Mini).  My D Drive Recovery Disc is 93% full with a 6 month old device. Can I delete the D Drive "recoveries" and reuse the Disc?. I have no problems using the USB port with a Flash Stick or Memory Card reader.  Sorry for all the questions, but I am so fatigued trying to solve these issues. I am new to these forums and have learned a lot already. Thank you. John

Re: Mini 311 questions

if your laptop is under warranty then demand for a repair or a replacement or even a refund.  :smileyhappy:
