Mouses busy sign Blue Circle keeps spinning about every 3 seconds.

Why does my busy icon by my mouse keep spinning even after everthing has loaded?  HP pavilion g6t laptop Windows 7. It comes up about every 3 seconds or so. Just got the computer yesterday.

New Windows 7 PCs do a lot of housekeeping the first few days of operation, post back if it does not settle down after a few days of being turned on.
