I have 3 different mp3 players (one for myself and both daughters each have one) and starting about 2 weeks ago, when I plug in my mp3 players, the computer doesn't acknowledge they are plugged in. They DO charge, but I am not able to sync music to them from my media player. I tried going to my start menu and clicking on 'Computer' and looking to see if it shows my mp3 player plugged in there but it doesn't. However, when I plug in my camera, my computer does acknowledge it is plugged in and it works fine and allows me to upload pictures. Any ideas or tips would be greatly appreciated!

Restart the PC and see if they work now. There was an old issue in Vista with usb devices after a resume from sleep or hibernate, so restart the system to check for that.
if this does not help see below.
See Option 2 on this page, it is for Gateway PCs but works with all windows Vista installations like yours.

Thanks for your response and your tip. However, I didn't have any luck with this tip. I tried it several different times like it said I may need to but still nothing.
