My laptop went back to sleep all by itself?

I pressed the sleep button to let the computer goes to sleep, but I accidentally woke it up. After I woke it up, the computer went back to sleep by itself automatically. My laptop is a Pavilion dv4 1123 us. I woke it up only a second after I pressed the button. What could be the problem?

That is correct, but the computer went back to sleep all by itself.

A few questions, does the Notebook repeat the behavior eveytime you wake itup or did it just do it the once?

What do you have your power Mgt set to (you can see by clicking on the power/battery icon on the task bar)

When did the Notebook start doing this?

The computer did this very far from each other. Before I recover my laptop, my laptop did that very often. After I put password on whenever I put it on sleep, the laptop didn't do that anymore. If I didn't put the password back on, the laptop will do that. This one is like three months from the last one. I set the powe magnament to Hp recommended. The notebook started to do this right after I bought it and turned the password protection when I put the computer to sleep off.

well it does not sound like a constant issue, hard to pin down, I would say check the basics first, see what BIOS version you have and if it is less than F.42 download the latest from HP.com
You can check in windows by holding down the "fn" key and pressing the "esc" key or by booting into the BIOS by tapping F10.
