My screen went sideways... due to my cat...

I don't know what my cat did, but I would appreciate any help I can get.  It's hard on the old neck trying to look at every thing sideways.  I have an hp Pavillion dv6 if that helps.  Thank you!!

Re: My screen went sideways... due to my cat...

Go into your gpu control screen and see if rotating the screen helps.

For me, I go into "Control Panel", then click on "Nvidia Control Panel".  On the left there are numerous choices, one of which is "Rotate Display".

I am not sure what gpu you have, but you should have something similar.

Re: My screen went sideways... due to my cat...

If you have intel graphics card...here is the key combo...

  • Ctrl + Alt + Right Arrow for Rotate To 270 Degrees
  • Ctrl + Alt + Down Arrow for  Rotate To 180 Degrees
  • Ctrl + Alt + Left Arrow for  Rotate To 90 Degrees
  • Ctrl + Alt + Up Arrow for Rotate To Normal
