Hi, Last week i have tryed to update my bios in windows mode, so during the bios update windows has freezen.. now nothing when i
try to boot the laptop only led for cd rom drive and hard drive. Someone have suggestion ? can i repair my laptop ?any means to recover the bios ?
A small question where is situated the bios on the motherboad ?
I hope one can help me.

I know it is too late to say this, but there is a "important" warning use external AC power when updating bios and not turn off power even if the computer seems freeze.
If you can still boot to DOS, then try dos bootable disc version of the bios update. But it sounds like the bios is corupted, this option is probably out. I think the best thing to do is send it to hp service, unless you now how to open up the case and find the jumper for bios reset.
BIOS is usually stored in a ROM chip, not on the hard drive.
